Gerald began his Postal career in 1985 at the Chicago Main Post Office in Chicago, Illinois. His service to the union started in 1987, when he answered the call as a QWL Facilitator for the stations and branches. Eventually, he was named the Union Coordinator for the Chicago Main Post Office, and the Union Facilitator at the regional level. In 1992, Gerald answered the call again, and was appointed as the AVP of the Irving Park Road P&DC. Now he serves as the Branch President at the Irving Park Road P&DC, and as an Arbitration Advocate. Gerald has received training in Arbitration, OWCP, FMLA and participated in numerous other advance-training programs. Gerald holds several certifications from the Labor Arbitration Institute, a BA from Chicago State, and a Masters from Keller Graduate School. He was a delegate to the LIUNA Conventions in 1996, 2001, and a delegate to the NPMHU Conventions in 1996, 2000, and 2004.
